 Effective Indoor Air Quality Solutions
For your home to be free of allergens, the ductwork must be sealed. The
air intake, circulation and exhaust must also be properly controlled and
monitored. While specially trained and certified technicians are
necessary to establish clean air, they must also have the right
equipment and materials. Further, because each home is different and has
unique conditions, our Indoor Environmental Quality exam begins with an
overall analysis of the air quality in a home. We monitor the air in
your home for likely contaminants that include particulates, humidity,
volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and fresh air content. Click
here for additional details about our computerized air quality analysis.
Our certified and experienced professionals also perform comprehensive
manual inspections.
For optimal comfort and the best air purification solutions, AirRite
offers the following products to remedy your allergy and asthma
symptoms:
HEPA Filtration, Certified Class II Medical Devices
For maximum relief and health, fresh air should be filtered through a
HEPA filter. For germicidal protection, a UV lamp, the same technology that hospitals use to prevent and kill bacteria, viruses and mold can also be added. A true HEPA filter is certified by AHAM to capture 99.97% of 0.3-micron particles including pollen, mold spores, mildew, dust mite debris, tobacco smoke and dander. Our certified HEPA filters are Class II Medical Devices,
which may qualify some homeowners for reimbursement, with doctor approval, under some insurance plans. Further, our products may be tax deductible.
Duct Sealing & Insulation
More than 80% of all U.S. homes have significant leakage in their duct systems, with up to 40% of conditioned air being lost. These leaks waste heated or cooled air and pull unconditioned air from dirty attics, basements or crawl spaces into the living area. This polluted air can bypass the filter and be distributed into supply ducts and then blown throughout the home. Our
certified technicians will seal rips, separations and cracks in your ducts, as well as
insulate other areas, improve indoor air quality, offer relief to allergy and asthma sufferers and reduce utility bills.
Energy Efficient Fresh Air Ventilation
While an air cleaner will filter particulates, it won't correct or
remove
moisture, stale air or certain gaseous pollutants. A better whole-house
solution creates balanced ventilation. A heat recovery ventilator
exhausts
stale, polluted air while replenishing the house with fresh, clean
oxygen.
Duct Cleaning
Before repairs are made to your duct system, it may require cleaning. Our duct
cleaning procedures exceed the requirements of the National Air Duct Cleaner's Association (NADCA 1992-01).
Humidity
Control To prevent dust mites, mold, mildew, fungi, bacteria and viruses, humidity
should be maintained at 40%. If your home is very humid, it may require a dehumidification system. Homes that are too dry may need a humidifier. Our trained staff can provide additional details about our whole house products for keeping humidity at comfortable and healthy levels.
